 | 09:09 pm - Finally an update omg Hey guys!
It's been awhile... I've been really busy. Really, really busy. I don't even realize how busy I am until after it's over and I look back at all the scribbles in my schedule book and then I'm like, damn Alison.... hahahaha~
A lot has happened in the two months since my last post! Can't believe it's even been that long...
I went through a phase of being really exhausted with everything -- teaching, same old same old, the trains, the people, everything. I was a little unhappy. And worried a lot about my dad who was in the hospital (he's home now and doing well though.) But I was kind of down in the dumps there for awhile, it was starting to get to me physically, but I'm doing much better lately. ^^
Let's see, where to start? New people in my life!! A guy named Shige who works at my new school Imai, got my mail like only after my second time going to that school and we've hung out at least once a week since. LOL He's probably what's been keeping me the busiest lately. I'm helping to teach him English and in exhange, he's kind of teaching me Kansai-ben as he is from Kobe. He's freaking hilarious and easy to get along with, he gets my jokes and it's fun to tease back and forth. He's just the kind of friend I needed. He IS just a friend, btw LOL. The man is 29 and engaged to a girl he's been dating since high school~~ He keeps teasing me about a young guy at work. Haha~ We'll see. Anyways, we've gone to see some street performances, to a really hilarious and awesome art festival, went to Nikko (a historical city about three hours by car from Yokohama) with him and another male teacher from Imai, hung out drinking, went to the park and practiced singing for the kids lol -- funny story with that --, and last night I went to the soccer world cup qualifiers between Japan and Qatar. It was freaking fun! For realz, I've been busy!!
When we went to the park, Shige played guitar and was singing harmonies and I was singing main vocal. Anyways, we were kind of in a secluded area, not too many people about. But people would slow down to listen as they walked past and this one old man stopped and sat down in front of us and pulled out his camera and was all, " ii nee!!!" and took pictures! lmao I was cracking up about that afterwards.
The game yesterday was great!! It was at the huge Nissan stadium near where I live. There were over 60,000 people in there for the game!!! Amazing, yo. Japanese people love to cheer too! OMG! That was probably the most fun -- everyone jumping and clapping and singing and cheering! So much energy! And I thought soccer would be hard to understand, but it was totally way easy and I really enjoyed watching it~~! Nakamura Shunsuke is really cool~~ hahaha I want to go watch baseball soon!!!!!! After the game we went drinking, so it really sucked waking up this morning at 6am and knowing I had to teach first block, but I made it and I'm totally all GENKI right now! XD
But yeah -- hangin' out with Shige has been a lot of fun! He's like my big Japanese brother~! XD
In other news, I read the whole Twilight series and became quite a fangirl. But I have a lot of complaints about the writing...and some of the plot. LOL But I enjoyed reading it, I liked the characters, and I liked the whole idea of the story. I kind of want to draw a manga for it~~~ haha Vampires <3 And I really like Rob Pattinson from the movie lololol 8D
I also saw Star Trek and it was freaking AMAZING!!!!!!! <3
And I watched Coraline FINALLY and it's now one of my very favorite movies! I think I watched it like three times within two days lololol.
I'm totally proud and excited about Adam Lambert and I can't wait for his album to be released!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 Someone in America wanna buy his Rolling Stone issue for me???? Plz?
I started a new job tonight! One of the English supporters at Iwasaki asked me to come to her house once a month for an hour and teach a lesson to her private students. She pays me 5000yen! And so I went today after school and it was so much fun!!!! The kids were hilarious and we could use so much English and they would listen and try hard to understand and it was such a good lesson. :D We played a game called karuta, where I say a word and whoever slaps the card the fastest wins. Anyways, we were telling them to "put your hands on your head" and they thought it sounded like "onion head" and so they kept saying that and grabbing a tuft of their hair and sticking it up like on an onion and i was cracking up. ahhaahaha
Oh! I bought my plane tickets for home!! I'm coming back on July 27th and returning to Japan on August 17th (18th here). I'm really excited!! My plans are to eat a bunch of my mom's cookin', sit on the couch, watch lots of TV, and pet my cat. ahaha And tell everyone lots of stories. God, I can't wait! It's been too long.
I think that's about it as far as what I've been up to. That's the short version of course. A lot of other things are going on too, but I don't wanna bombard anyone lol.
I'll post pictures soon! :D
Love ya!

 | 06:30 pm - LUL Hey guys!
I like my new schools! It's interesting being at a new school and actually having experience this time around! LOL I'm soooo much more comfortable than I was last year when I started~! And one school, Imai (which I affectionately call Mai-mai-sho after Maimai from Soubuyama lol) is sooo tiny!! There are only 360 kids (compared to my other new school that has close to 800) and the kids are so freaking sweet!! I've only been there three times and already the kids are hugging me and pulling at my arms!! LOL One 4th grade boy invited me to come outside and play tag with them so I chased around a bunch of kids during recess one day last week. XD It was fun~~ And the teachers at that school are really fun too~! One dude already asked for my email so we can have conversation exchange 'cause he's really into English and punk music. LOL~~ The principal at my big-ass school, Nagano, is really nice!! He always comes over and talks to me ~~ And he knows several of my favorite people from Soubuyama~! Hahah~ Everyone knows everyone, it's funny~ And then, I'm back at Iwasaki for the second year in a row~ It's nice having a place where I know everyone already. There are new teachers tho, but I know the majority of the teachers and we all have a good relationship, so it's nice going there. ^- ^
I have a welcome party for Soubuyama next week on Tuesday. It's for old teachers that left (like me! T_T) and for new teachers, and they invited me <3 It's like a hundred bucks tho. D: But it'll probably be the last time I hang out with all of them, so I've decided to shell out the cash and go see them all. Iwasaki has one on the 1st, but I doubt it'll be as expensive~~
And then a BBQ on the 2nd... with Sakai and co. LOL
I want to go to Disneyland sometime during Golden week.... I wanted to go to Kansai, but I realized I have a city tax coming soon (over 10man D: -- a thousand bucks), plus I'm flying home in August, plus plus I have loans and bills to pay... so Imma do some cheaper things like Disney(?) LOL
Dudes, so I've been downloading random American shows since I don't have a TV here. Mostly Family Guy, Colbert Report, all seven seasons of Scrubs...and American Idol. OMFGGGGG I am OBSESSED with Adam Lambert!!!!!! It's like I'm not even watching AI when he's on!!! GodDAMN that boy is amazing~! ::ramble ramble adam lammmberrrttttt:: I revert to a 13 year old when it comes to this boy~ god. o A o He's just got a lot going for him, man. If you've looked at my last.fm lately, you probably noticed my obsession....the studio recordings are so fucking good....I wish he would record Jesus Christ Superstar... he'd make a good jesus! lol. His voice is perfect for that.
Anyhoo - that's my life lately. New schools and Adam Lambert. XD
And I have a cold/hay fever I dunno. I think I had a fever yesterday. I feel better today, but my voice sounds funny, I keep coughing and sneezing, and my nose is runny~~ boo. At least my throat and head doesn't hurt like yesterday~~
ANYWAYS.
TTYL~ lol
adam lamberttttttttt <33333

 | 10:39 pm - Spring Break!!! Wow~
What an intense week and a half! LOL (This is gonna be a LONG entry!)
First, Becky is finally in Japan!! So I got to hang out with her some~! :D And then April came~!!! I hadn't seen April in over a year, so it was pretty exciting! She stayed at my place for a few nights, we had lots of funtimes -- met up with Jackie and Nick and Sean and Nao (it was like a big IU reunion) and had TONS of funtimes!! Adam flew in later for a quick trip on his way back to America from Thailand~ I missed all of them a lot, so it was great finally catching up!! :D
After that I had two farewell get-togethers for two of my schools -- just staff only. At one we had a nice boxed lunch and they said some nice things to me and I had to give a little speech. Later that day was the farewell get-together at my favorite school. I had already cried in front of them before I left on my last school day, so I told myself I wouldn't cry this time. Haha~~ I only got a little teary-eyed. As much as I love that school though, I think it's best that I'm not back there -- several people are leaving (teachers change every year -- they can only stay 3-4 years at one school) and so I think I might actually be disappointed if I worked there again. Plus, I'm kind of interested in dating a guy there, and it would be impossible if we still worked together... LOL Things happen for a reason...?
Anyhoo!! I was invited to two Hanami parties (flower viewing~~). One was on Saturday with a guy I work with named Takashi and his friends from high school. Popo, Daichi, Sheena, and Becky came along too. We met at a park and drank beer all day and ate foods and talked. Then we went to two Izakaya (Japanese style bars) and drank more LOL. That's pretty much the essence of Hanami~~ lol. Drink, talk, lookit cherry blossoms. It was fun~~ This was like the third time we've all been out together. Glad I was at least able to make ONE friend at that horrible school. LOL >__ <;
The other hanami, I was looking forward to from the moment Toshiki asked me to go!! XD First of all, it was with 5 of the teachers from my favorite school, 2ndly, I get along with them SO WELL, 3rdly, they're all hilarious, and last, I just knew it was gonna be fun~ XD Maimai drove his parents car, and Keiko drove her car -- we did janken (rock, paper, scissors) to decide who would be in which car, and I ended up with the other two girls, so the guys were in the car behind us.
Let's have a fun picture-story time, shall we? ( Let the Hanami Drive Begin! )
Man, that was SO MUCH FUN! Toshiki planned the whole thing and helped Maimai navigate through Tokyo~~ Before we got to Sakurazaka, Keiko left us, and so Maimai, Toshiya, Me, Kanapon, and Toshiki all piled into one car and headed to Sakurazaka -- After Sakurazaka in Harajuku, we went to Shibuya to this ramen place Toshiki knew and we ate the MOST DELICIOUS RAMEN I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Dude, it was so freaking good and I have NO IDEA how to get back there 'cause we were in a car!! LOL Tokyo looks a lot different from a car than from the trains or walking. We were driving through Tokyo and took the Rainbow Bridge and Toshiki kept telling them to save this Kobukuro song called Tsubomi for the exact right moment, so as we were angling up onto the bridge, the climax of the song hit, we were all singing at the top of our lungs, and there all of Tokyo came into view with the glowing red and orange Tokyo Tower in the center of it all. It was perfect!! I'll never forget it~! The whole city lit up as we drove by, the windows rolled down, a nice cool breeze blowing through the car, all of us singing this really pretty song, and just together with that group of fun people -- it was a blast. :D The whole time, Toshiya in the front seat was staring out the window saying, "WOOAHHH TOKYO SUGEEE~~ SUUUGEEE!! ~~~" and Toshiki was explaining how when he drove his bike the same route, he saw this and thought, "Wow, I live in a pretty awesome place~" And I was thinking the same thing~~ How lucky I was to be experiencing that.
Car drives are the best.
It was so much fun. They dropped me off at Yokohama station, and Toshiki told me, "Let's go again!" And Toshiya mentioned that there's a welcoming party for Soubuyama on the 28th and that I should come. So, I'll most likely be going~~
Anyways, this weekend was a complete blast~!!!
If you want to see the pics from the first Hanami on Saturday they're here ->
I just decided I'd upload the one adventure and it was quite the task!!
Hope you enjoyed!!
Sorry for the long entry.
I start back to school on Thursday. My two new schools should be okay. And Iwasaki will be fun, I'm sure.
Talk to you later!!

p.s., my dad has been in the hospital 'cause he almost had another heart attack. he had double-bypass, and is actually supposed to come home tomorrow, but he'll have a lot of recovering still to do, so if you could all keep him in your thoughts, I'd appreciate it!! :D

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated!
I finally have internet of my own! How about that! I just need to get around to posting pictures now...
School is wrapping up. I can't believe a year went by so quickly!!! I'm worried about what schools I'll be at next school year... ><; Trying not to think about it too much.
It's snowing here now! I had given up on the thought of snow this winter! But Friday, it was raining and then suddenly it started snowing and all my kids were like, ALISON-SENSEI! YUKI DA! YUKI!!! XD I captured a shot of it.

First snow of the year~! :D
It's snowing again now! Much more than on Friday -- it's collecting on the cars and roofs! I'm excited lol.
I've been having last classes with several grades at different schools, so I've been taking pictures with my kids. I wish I could post the pics -- they're so cute! But I can't, so if you really want to see, I can show you on AIM or something. :D Just ask!
Dude... I flippin' love Kobukuro you guys. Watch this video - they are so freaking amazing.
Must see them in concert sometime. Soon.
Anyways... wow I really cannot believe this year is almost over. It was unbelievably fast! And I've done so much and learned so much! Can't believe it.
Oh, I got my JLPT results -- lol, failed 2kyuu by like 30 points, so I've decided to just go for 1kyuu next time. I don't want to waste more money on a test that doesn't mean anything. Gotta get that 1kyuu. And I didn't study AT ALL for 2kyuu, so if I bust my ass and study, maybe I'll have a chance at 1kyuu. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I'd rather push myself to try on the hardest test there is. So, Imma go for it! :D
White Day is coming up... >____________ >; For those of you who don't know, it's basically another Valentine's Day. In Japan, V-day is when girls get boys chocolate, and White Day is when boys return the favor. Or are supposed to. I will not hold my breath. :/
Ahemehemememmmm... >> Today is Hina Matsuri!! LOL I forgot. Happy... Doll Day? Eat some pretty candy and chirashi? yey?
Man, though, been exhausted lately. Maybe it's burnout. School is over in three weeks, we get a week off, and then a new year starts. x__ x Bizarre. I hope I have as much fun next year as I did this year. It was really great. Really learned SO MUCH.
And I love kids. This is a good job. Mostly. XD
Well, time to sleep. Or at least start thinking about sleeping.
元気でね~

In other news: On the work front, I'm completely exhausted tonight. English class freakin' drains, man. Requires so much energy. x__ X But it IS fun. The flu is going around. I hope I don't get it... D: God, I love Soubuyama Elementary school. Just, the kids are great, the teachers are great. Can't believe the school year will be over in a few months. I wonder where I'll be placed in April.... Sad to think about.
Oh yeah! Winter vacation happened, didn't it? lul kinda fergot. Um, I think I already mentioned that Xmas Eve was interesting? Yeah, it's a long story, but I went out with two guys from work. One is the dude I have a thing for, and the other guy is a year older than me and KNOWS I have a thing for the other dude and set it up for me! XD! So that was fun. :DD Hehe Also Osaka was FREAKIN' AWESOME! Dude, Kansai is the shit. Those people are so much more fun and talkative and interesting than the people that live over here around Tokyo. Plus Kansai dialect is hilarious and fun. I went to Universal Studios Japan too!! It was a blast. Me and a girl I work with went together! :D Her hometown is actually really near to the guy I like's home town! :D So I spent a night and day with her and her family and she took me to his home town. It's a city called Akashi in Hyogo-prefecture and it's apparently the town where Japan's central time zone line thing (omg i forgot what it's called in English), is located, it's famous for octopus, and the world's longest suspension bridge is there, connecting it to Shikoku. It lights up all different colors at night too. *v* It was really pretty there!!! I had lots of fun. I wanna live in Kansai hahaha.
So yeah, that trip was so much fun, though. I really, really enjoyed myself. :3
Also, before that I went to the PSC carnival with Popo!!! It was a blast! I finally freaking saw Kagrra in concert yo!!! XD Omggg I have to join their fan club and go to their concert for realz!! Also, Alice Nine was a lot of fun!! They played Velvet! and Rainbows!! <333 Love those songs. At one point Saga was all the way on top of his amp, standing there rockin' out and then when he jumped off, his boots slipped and he fell flat on his ass!! haha I was like, oh noes Saga! but he totally just kept playing and eventually stood up and walked around like a badass again. haha XD And dude, Gazette has so many freakin' fans!! Everyone there was headbanging! XD Me included, and my neck hurt for two days afterwards haha. I enjoyed Miyavi >_>; He's a good entertainer and I really liked his acoustic ballads the most. He really likes to speak in English whenever he can and he pointed out this group of foreigners in the first row at the very beginning of the live. XD
Haha~~
Anywaysssss~~~~ I guess that's all I've been up to. Workin' on the boyfriend front. ♥ ♥ I'll keep ya'll updated! ^_~ 'specially once I get FREAKING INTERNET! XD
Anywoo --- gonna maybe pass out now. I'm so tired...

 | 06:03 pm - Alipon is a crazy ass Hey guys!
How is life? Mine is kind of crazy right now. Crazy by my own doing. But I'm still enjoying myself. And doing my best. That's what matters, right?
My Christmas Eve was kind of crazy. I think I've been describing my life as distinctly crazy as of late. I won't go into details because the result of certain happenings has yet to be unfolded.
Also I realize I'm speaking in riddles and I should stop! rofl
Anyways, I'm going to Osaka in a few days. I'm staying one night at a hostel and the next night, I'm going to stay in Hyogo-ken at a co-worker's family's house!! She invited me and has been bugging me to let her know when I'm coming to Kansai, so I made plans to meet up with her in Osaka and then go to her house and stay the night. :D
Everything closes here from Jan 1 - 3. It's so bizarre and the thought of nothing being open is kind of freaking me out. I withdrew lots of money from the bank so I can live off of conbini food for awhile. LOL
On Christmas me and Sheena had nabe - hot pot. I bought the nabe pot and the gas burner and she bought the vegetables and beef and we stuffed ourselves. It was awesome. I think we'll do it again for counting down to the new year. And then on New Years day, we're heading to a temple and gonna ring a bell. LOL 'cause that's what they do here. And also eat us some mochi.
I miss Popo and Daichi. I'm at their house now, stealing their interweb (thanks Popo), but it feels absolutely bizarre with them not here. They come back in a few days. Hope they're having fun in the States. Maybe we'll have nabe to celebrate their return. LOL. XD
I want to watch Kouhaku this year!! :O
Anyways, I'm off to meet the Sheen. Gotta eat sometime today lol

 | 07:19 pm - sorry you guys! Damn you guys, I am really sorry I haven't updated in forever and I haven't commented on anyone's journals and I haven't been online at all in like a month!!!! TT___ TT Whoever's internet I was snatching went bye-bye, so I've had no internet. Tonight there's a faint signal from somewhere though, so I'm taking advantage!! XD Hope it holds out...
I'm planning on getting MY OWN internet this weekend. Gonna ask the nice landlord guys about it. ;3
Homans, I have been FREAAAAKING busy though. Even if I had internet, I wouldn't have much time to be on it. I had THREE concerts in a row -- so three Saturdays in a row I worked. All the concerts went well, but my favorite was at Soubu 'cause we did the chorus thing and I loved the song we sang. <3
I've been working over at Soubu a lot lately too. They keep asking me to make materials. I stayed after on Tuesday to make a Bingo sheet for a teacher, and when I came in today, she got up, ran over, and freaking gave me a huge hug!!! LOL!! And they like my drawings, so I have to hand draw everything I make and that takes a LOT of time. x__ x One teacher was like, omg Alison you should be selling these for 3000yen (about $30) a set! XD And then one dude was like, then you all owe her like 5man ($500). XD Hahaha. They keep saying how they really want me back there next year and they want me to come more often and only I will teach English, no Japanese supporters teaching. lol. They were REALLY talking about it like, ALISON YOU HAVE TO COME BACK HERE NEXT YEARRR and it kind of choked me up a bit!! ;v ; I would LOVE to come back to Soubu next year, I love it very much there and I'm making friends. Real friends. <3 Lots of young teachers there -- some even younger than I am. So yeah... plus I love the kids there a lot. But yeah... It's not up to me, I just have to hope my company places me back there again next year. :3
Lul - one dude's name is Imai, so I asked him if I could call him Mai-mai and he was like, MOCHIRON! OF COURSE!!! XD So I totally call him Mai-mai all the time now lul. I think he's only 23? XD
I was invited to a festival for that school last Saturday, so I went and I ended up helping make decorations (funtimes -- when the kids saw the decorations I made, they were like OMG ALISON-SENSEI DREW THAT DIDN'T SHE?! ) XD and I helped sell some pizza and meat-buns. And helped make takoyaki (octopus balls). And I got to eat a lot of delicious festival foods! It was a really fun day. I ended up staying until after 5pm and then me and three other teachers went out for drinks. >:D Me and the two guys ended up going to karaoke too. XD It was a blast. They invited me to go on a trip with them and two other teachers maybe over winter break. So I'm looking forward to that. :3
So yeah, I've just mostly been busy with school/work. The JLPT is this weekend. Totally gonna fail, but whatever, I'll do my best.
Um, besides work, I bought Chrono Trigger for the DS, so I've been playing that at night before I pass out. I finally bought a pair of boots too! I just needs some skirts/shorts and some tights now. XD Oh! And I bought the new capsule album -- More!More!More! at HMV the other day!!! Omgggg I love it so much hahaha. Also, apparently Nakada Yasutaka frequently DJs at a club in Shibuya and I would love to go sometime. *___ *
Um, I guess that's all I've been up to lately. Also freezing my ass off at school. I need gloves.

So, it was my birthday last week on Friday!! :D Thanks for everyone that sent me cards or that sent me messages on Facebook and on here and stuff! ♥ ♥ I really appreciated it! :D
On Saturday, me, Sheena, Popo, and Daichi went out to dinner and then spent four hours at karaoke lol. It was totally sweet. :D
Then on Sunday, me and Popo went to a Halloween Parade in Kawasaki! It was so much fun!! Way too many people there, but it was fun! XD There were like 5 dudes dressed up as a SWAT team and they looked so cool haha. They started yelling at the by-standers to FURIIZU!!! lol And there were lots of trannies in the parade haha. And lots of cute kids too. It was fun! Popo took pics, but I didn't, sorry! lol ><; She has pics of my birthday too, so I dunno, ask her to post them. ::hint hint, popo::
This Saturday, one of my schools (funny enough, the school I don't really like) is having a festival and I'm singing! LOL It's very strange how this happened, I don't even know 'cause I've never been to karaoke or anything with them lol. Like, they always play music during lunch time right, and you all know me and how I can't NOT sing along when it's a song I know, so I guess the teachers heard me singing along at lunch before, and then like, in one of my 6th grade classes, I was teaching fruits, right, and I taught "cherry" and I automatically started singing the YUI song in the middle of class and all the kids got a kick out of it and the teacher I guess did too 'cause he came up to me like three weeks ago and was like, "so you're gonna sing YUI for the concert, ok why not?" and i was like whut? and he's like, "yeah pick a YUI song and I'll find the band score for it." He wanted a fast song, so I picked Rolling Star and he found the band score and I've practiced three times with the "band" haha. One of the 5th grade teachers plays guitar and he's the band leader. He's really young too, I'm pegging him at like 26? But anyways, yeah he plays guitar and harmonica and stuff. And then the teacher that had me pick the song is playing bass and then we have the music teacher playing piano, and a 2nd grade female teacher (she's young too, maybe 26-27?) playing drums and then other random teachers playing tamborine and shit lol and one dude playing fucking ukelele hooked up to an amp! lmao. XD We're doing like 5 songs I think. Aqua Times's Niji, Mr. Children's Hanabi, Ikimonogakari's Blue Bird, some old song I dunno, and my YUI song. It's different teachers singing each song too. I'm looking forward to it. I have two more rehearsals and then the real thing on Saturday! :D Wish me luck!
And then I was at my favorite school yesterday ( ♥ ) and the dude I kinda have a big crush on there leans over and is like, "so we're all singing this song at a concert on November 8th...do you wanna join?" and I was like SWEET! So I went to their rehearsal yesterday for like 10 minutes (i had to leave to go to rehearsal at the other school lol). THEY SOUNDED SO GOOD OMG! They're singing like a choir with all the harmonies and stuff and sweet jesus. The dude I like, right, oh...my...god that man can sing! He has one of those voices that just gives you chills, you know what I mean? Like, some people are good at singing and have nice voices, but then there are some voices where you just loose your breath and are like DAYUM, right? Uh, yeah it's amazing and I can't freakin' wait to sing with them all. The men's bass parts are so nice.
This is the song -> http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=KiNV_Vn00ZM
It's such a pretty song. I've been practicing it since I was only there for like 10 minutes and they all already know it, pretty much. So for the next rehearsal I can actually sing! lol Gotta practice more, it's a hard song!!
I think I'm more excited about singing in a choir-like thing again than I am for the YUI song. I miss choir and I haven't done it since I was like 11!!! Hahaha ><;
Funtimes
But I am so busy for the next two weeks. x___ X This weekend is a three day weekend, though. WEWT
Anyways, wish me luck. I have a cold and I keep coughing, so I hope it clears up before Saturday so I can sing ok! Haha ><

 | 10:06 pm - "It's gonna take a lot to drag me awayyyy from youuuu" HEY GUYS!
Dude, it got COLD here outta no where!!! It was like pretty humid and hot on Friday, and then Friday night the temperature dropped and it's been cold ever since. I fell asleep with my window open on Friday night and woke up Saturday sick. So I have a cold now. T__ T
But I love it being cold outside!! I can wear my jackets! But I don't have hardly ANY warm clothes at all! My momma needs to please send me some stuff~~ ;__ ; lol It's fall! <3 I started drawing materials for a Halloween lesson!! Gonna be the BEST lesson ever!! Also, my vampire is the most hilarious and cute vampire ever and I was crackin' myself UP while I was drawing it LOL. I'll see if I can scan them or something, 'cause I really am kinda proud of them 8D.
I can't stop listening to Africa, wtf.
I am really crushing hard on a guy at work and it's no good, Alipon. LOL I just always fall for dudes and then it never works out how I want, so I'm trying hard not to like him, but he's making it really hard for me. haha. Doesn't help we really get along. And sit next to each other. D:
Gonna go see Gazette in one week!! I'm so excited about it!!!! OMG! Kai! :D! YAY! o(^V ^)o
I love the fall you guys. It's the best season ever.
Also this week is flippin' awesome 'cause I go to Soubuyama Mon, Wed, and Fri and I only go to the school I hate once!! Once!! Praise the lawd. XD
<3
Anywhoooooo~~
I'm sick so I need to get some sleep. Sheena gave me Dayquil and Nyquil. <3 What would I do without Sheena and Popo? Surely I would have died already without them.

 | 10:28 pm - I eat at Saizeria too often lol Hey y'all.
I've been listening to a lot of L'arc lately. o_o)/~<3
Today sucked. My Wed-Thurs school sucks ass. They're really bad with the schedule and forget they have English class all the time. Today the first grade I was supposed to teach ended up going on an outing to the nearby park. WTF. At least the Vice-principal is on my side and apologizes for their negligence. It's really getting annoying. I'm at the point now where I cringe before walking into the teacher's room 'cause I know there's gonna be one thing or the other for me to put up with that day. ><;
Friday school is amazing though. And we have a drinking party on Friday! I have to be late though, cause I can't get out of babysitting. T_T Sad, but I think it'll be ok... I feel bad that I'm going to be late though, cause they planned the party FOR ME 'cause I had to do three observed classes last week. ><; I'll walk in and they'll all already be drunk tho. LOL I'll just whip out the camera.... XDDDD I'm excited, though. I get along with the staff at this school better than the other two schools (even tho I went on a trip with one of them LOL). They're a really young staff. I stayed an extra hour last Friday just because I was chatting it up with the dude that sits next to me. Haha~
Hmm...
You know I don't have anything to write about right now ... well I DO, but eh, no need for that stuff on a public journal LOL.

 | 10:36 pm - 今日は最高だったんや~! Holy crap today was amazing you all. :DD
Let's see, first of all the weather is finally cooling down! I slept with my windows open for the first time since like June haha. The air this morning was almost crisp! I freakin love the fall and I can't wait for it to get cooler! Besides it being cooler, the sky was so clear and blue and there was a nice wind all day! There's no air conditioning at school, so it was nice to not be dripping with sweat while trying to teach!! A nice wind blowing through the classrooms all day! Hooray!
My school that I went to today, before summer vacation I only went there once a week, while the other schools I went to twice a week. So I was FINALLY starting to get to know the teachers better and they were finally learning more about my personality, and then we went on break, but now we're back and I go there twice a week, so I'm getting along better with some of the teachers! One guy in particular sits right next to me and he's always speaking English to me. Out of all three schools he is the ONLY teacher who actually tries to speak to me in English. So I like that about him a lot. XD Plus he's hilarious. But anyways, he comes up to me this morning and he says in English, "Do you have free time next Friday to go to a party?" and I was like :DDDDDD!!! "YES!!" I'm so excited, I've been wanting to go out with the staff from this school 'cause they're all so sweet to me and I think the number of young teachers is higher at this school than my other schools, so I wanna get to know all of them more. Plus the vice principal is freaking hilarious, yo. Omg I love that guy he cracks me up so much. But omg drinking party next week, I can't wait!!!!!! XD
So I was genki to the max because of that and I went to teach my first class. I taught third grade all day and taught numbers 1 - 10. I dunno, I love teaching numbers, it's fun. And the kids like it and just start counting away. So I jumped around (literally, jumped around -- we did this song called numbers jump and you jump 1 time, then 2 times, three times, and so on to 10... so i kinda jumped like 220 times today lololol), but it was so much fun and those kids loved it. XD
The guy that invited me to the party, he teaches third grade, so I taught his class last today -- OMFG i fucking loooveeee his classsssss. The guy is from Kansai, and they're notorious for being loud and fun people, and his class is the loudest and the most fun of all my classes, i freaking love it. And he's so good at English, so I can just say whatever in his class and he can translate it for me and it makes things go so much smoother -- if I say things in English, like try to explain a game, half the time the Japanese teacher is like uh whut? and so I just have to be like ><; and try to use japanese even tho i'm not supposed to. ><; But this dude is awesome and he also uses English himself, for instructions, and that makes the kids more confident to use English when they hear their teacher using it, so that class is just so easy to teach, I love it and wish I could teach with him every single day.
So anyways I was all happy after that class 'cause it was so much flippin' fun and I walk into the staff room grinning ear to ear and the Principal and Vice Principal are at their desks and they're like, Boy you sure look happy! and i'm like LOL TODAY WAS AWESOME. :D
After that was club, and they invited me to go to Ikebana, so I got to make some pretty flower arrangements and decorated the outside of the staff room! XD It was fun! :D
I really like this school! I'm liking it more than the school I went on the trip with LOL. There's just something about the WHOLE school that I love. With Iwasaki, it's like, I love the staff 'cause they're hilarious and friendly, but the kids there just aren't as awesome as this other school. Sobuyama has like, really awesome teachers that are so sweet to me!! And the students ALL OF THEM are like, so kind and wave and get excited to see me in the halls. It's just a nice feeling at that school -- I really like it there and I'm reallyyyy looking forward to hanging out with them next weekend!! :DDD Oohh, this school has their undoukai the weekend before my birthday!! I'm excited about it!! :D Iwasaki's undoukai was awesome, so I'm sure this one will be good too!!
yay!
Today was so great -- tomorrow and Thursday I go to the school I DO NOT like so much, so I'm kinda sad LOL. But back to Sobuyama on Friday!! WOOT! :D~ <3
anyways, I wanted to tell you all that i had a good day today. XD
did you look at my pics from my last post? no one commented... .__ .;

 | 09:47 pm - Summer Vacation Holy cow you guys. It's been awhile, eh?
This has been one hell of a summer vacation. It's been the shortest summer vacation of my life, but definitely the most eventful. I can't believe I go back to work on Monday -- I'm afraid I've forgotten how to teach and behave at school LOL. This vacation was just dizzying with activities.
I guess the best place to start is the beginning?? LOL
I think that was back in mid-July... lol... yeah. Yeah I had about a week off, and I just enjoyed sleeping in and not having to ride the trains everyday hahaha. I worked two days at a kindergarten English carnival thing in north Tokyo. God, that commute was hell! Two hours + on the trains. Ugh. But I got to work with some hilarious people, so it was all good. Plus, I got paid a ridiculous amount of money. XD Wewt! It was a fun experience.
Then, I went on the staff trip with about 15 of the teachers from Iwasaki. God I love that school. I haven't seen any of them since the trip, and Monday I go back there, so I'm pretty excited to see them all again!! Anyways, the staff trip was a complete blast. We took a tiny-ass bus to Hakone (I went there with Popo and Daichi back in April), but it's this volcanic area with hotsprings and they boil eggs in the hotsprings and the shells turn black, and if you eat them it's supposed to add 7 years to your life. So we went there and to various historical/museum-y places, and then headed to Atami (near the ocean!) and stayed at a hotel. The whole time we were driving around, two of my favorite teachers serenaded us the entire bus trip. ROFL One brought a guitar and the other grabbed the overhead speaker for the bus and was singing (not very well) the whole time. Most of the ladies were like SHUUUT UUUPPPP ALL READYYYY lololol (oh no i just broke the 'nine' key on my keyboard... DD: ) Anyways -- I was cracking up the whole time cause it was really funny, truthfully. XDD Ah, we ate lots and drank A LOT that night -- went to karaoke too and that was so much fun. God I love going to karaoke with those guys. HAHA. We ended up going outside at some point and lighting up some fireworks, then it was back inside for more sitting around and talking and drinking, drinking, drinking. The next day I felt so horrible, I really thought I was gonna die. >__< LOL Um, but we took a boat (ship?) out to this resort island called Hatsushima and it was so freaking beautiful there. We sat under some palm trees -- I slept in a hammock as I was still feeling horrible from all the wine the previous night -- but we mostly just relaxed all day. I think everyone was really tired and hung over LOL. We had a nice barbeque and then we headed back in the evening. A few of the guys ran off to go swimming in their underwear as no one brought along any swimsuits hahaha.
Man, that trip was so much fun. So many random little things happened that were hilarious.
I've started a flickr account to hopefully make my life easier showing all y'all mah pics. So here's the album for the Iwasaki Trip! (There are several HILARIOUS pics of our drinking party, but I didn't upload them 'cause I don't want anyone there to get mad at me that their dumbass pics are on the internet. So if you're REALLY curious, I can show you on AIM or something LOLOLOL)
After that, Kazuma came for about a week to visit. And Becky was here at the same time too!! We had lots of fun times in Tokyo and at karaoke and everything. I took Kazuma to China Town (actually, I think it was kind of my first real time being there too... I had only walked through at night one time before haha) But yeah, I didn't really take any pictures though. u___ u;
After that, I had a few days to chillax and hang out with Sheena before she headed to the Philippines to visit her dad. She gets back on Friday, so I'm excited to see her and catch up!
Then, I went to Yamanashi prefecture around the 17th-19th with the family I babysit for. I got to ride this fancy train there -- two hour ride, but no transfers and it was a nice train, like the shinkansen only not as fast lol. Yamanashi is the prefecture to the west of Kanagawa (where I live lol) and it's where Mt. Fuji is located, so it's very rural and mountainous. Absolutely beautiful! I stayed at the girl I babysit's grandparents house. Her grandpa farms mostly fruits like plums. Omg, i got to eat sooo many delicious fruits and vegetables those few days I was there. Their house was gorgeous. It was all Japanese style -- tatami rooms and things and wood carvings above the doors. It was like the Japanese equivalent of an American log cabin, I guess. And it was surrounded by mountains. God, I was in heaven there. I really do love mountains. They took me to go see Mt. Fuji too! It was cloudy all morning and we couldn't see him from far away, but when we got to this Lily Park, the clouds parted and there he was!! It was pretty breathtaking! No snow on top though, since it's summer. So I was kinda disappointed that he looked nothing like any pictures I've ever seen hahaha. But it was still awesome. So lucky I got to see him!!! Yay! I would like to go see again in the winter. :D
Here are the pics of Yamanashi Prefecture!
Ahh, and then I came home from Yamanashi for a few days and then off I was to Nagoya!! Omg, it was so freaking amazing being back there. It was so nostalgic and just a wonderful feeling. It was like, wow, I'm finally visiting my second home again!!! I met Kazuma in Nagoya station and then we went to my host family's house! I finally got to see the Nakashima's again!! I had contacted them the day before (it was last minute that I decided I could go), and I talked to Ryouta for like a half hour on the phone the night before. Haha It was so good to see them, you have no idea. I was almost sprinting from the station to their house. Okaasan was like, "It's like you never left!! It feels like your still living here!" and I was like YAY! And it really did feel that way. Ryouta was like, well it was just a year ago, and we were all like, "dude, no it was TWO years ago" and he was all... oh... yeah. LOL! Little Yuuto is 4 years old now and is talking, though, not making too much sense lol. he's so cute tho and he kept calling me Alipon and asking me to play with his balloons with him and asking me to eat dinner together and Alipon Alipon Alipon. XDD Adorable. None of them have changed at all. Otoosan still loves his baseball, Ryouta still loves to rent movies and hide out in his room, Okaasan still feeds everyone in the neighborhood, and Fuku-chan still barks at passing dogs at 5am. Hahahaha And Takahiro is still freaking cool as hell. Goddamn it was good to see them all. I had reserved a hotel for my stay 'cause I didn't wanna just be like, "hey y'all i'm coming to nagoya can i crash at yer place?" haha, but Okaasan made me cancel my hotel and come stay at their place. So I did. :D Okaasan told me that they're not having any more home stay kids. I was their last. ahaha. One morning I went with Ryouta to Otoosan's cafe and we drank coffee and ate panini's and then Otoosan got on his compy and looked up these sites with these MIDI songs and sang to me for like two hours. XD Love it. And then he kept making me sing songs too lol. I wish I could have gone to karaoke with them, but I didn't get a chance to this time. I did go karaoke twice with kazuma tho. roflrofl. It really was just like old times hahaha. I got to see a couple of my friends from nanzan too, so that was nice. Both of them had been studying in America last year, so this is their first time back in Nagoya for awhile. Wow it was so great being back there.
To be honest tho, there's really nothing to do in Nagoya!!! Ahaha And Yokohama is a much prettier city. Nagoya is kinda industrial and gray. Yokohama is shiny haha. And we have China Town and the ferris wheel and cosmo world and there's Tokyo really close here. But Nagoya has Nagoya-ben and people who speak Kansai-ben (and I flippin' love that). I didn't appreciate the different way people talk when I was there last time, but since I've been in Yokohama and people just speak regular Japanese, I REALLY noticed it going back there. Otoosan spits out the weirdest shit LOL. I love it. It's so much fun. Plus the people in Nagoya are nicer in general. People here are in too much of a hurry and don't think enough about others, I think. Ahh, there's good and bad about both places. Nagoya is my second home though. If I can, I think I'd like to live there next year. If I can find a job. lol I have some time to think about it though. :D
Ahh, such a great break. I got back from Nagoya yesterday. I didn't wanna leave. I didn't have enough time to talk to everyone. Nakashima's told me to please come back anytime and stay. Ryouta's like, "even if you're just staying at our place to sleep, that's okay too." Awww!! <3 God I love that family. I'm SO flippin' happy I finally got to see them again. I'm hoping to go again around my birthday. We'll see what I can do. :3
Besides all my trips, I did have lots of fun hanging out around Yokohama, Tokyo, and Kawasaki with Popo and Daichi too!! We went to a club one night, got nicely plastered on several occasions, danced to disco music in front of quite a few amused japanese people, and just had lots of random good times. XD
Well, wow, I guess that's the end of my rambling! I managed to spit it out in less words than I thought I would!! Haha
I only have a few more days of break, so I'm going to try to really relax. I've only actually been at home very few days this whole vacation since I was so busy going here and there, but these last few days I'd just like to relax. ^-^ I babysat today and I have to tomorrow, but Mion is really warming up to me, so it's becoming more and more fun! XD Plus, I really need any extra monies that I can get! D:
It really is gonna be so weird going back to school on Monday. @__ @ My mindset has to be totally changed again. haha
ANYWAYS, YOU GUYS - I wanna start writing in here more!! I feel bad I've been neglecting it so much. I should keep a better record of my life here. Plus, I wanna hear from you guys. XD Comment, comment! XD
Love and miss every one of you!

July 7th, 2008
 | 10:01 pm - it's july and it's hot as hell. Omg hey guys!!
Only two more weeks of school and then it's summer vacation!! I'll get the rest of July off and all of August! Woo hoo!! I'm not sure exactly what I'll be doing. Well, one weekend I'm taking a trip with my co-workers from my favorite school. <3 It's an overnighter to Shizuoka (i think) and I'm really excited about it! Really, really excited. I love all the teachers there and have made friends with them, like hung out some and stuff. Also I kinda have a crush there 8DDD. But yeah! I'm excited about that trip, and then right after that, Becky is coming, and then after that I dunno. My friend Sheena is traveling to the Philippines the first week of August, and she's asked me if I wanna come with her, and it seems like it'd be really cool, but I think I should conserve the money and um, like, pay back some loans LOL. But yeah I'm ready for break!!!
We went to a huuuuuuuge Tanabata festival on Saturday in Hiratsuka. Jesus, it was fucking huge and so many people dear lord!!! People people people. I ate some takoyaki, okonomiyaki with a fried egg and bacon XD, and some shaved ice, and candied strawberries, and I think that's all the festival food I ate. XD It was all delicious!! Oh, also I had a beer. XD And some dude was selling these headbands with light-up devil horns, and he was all pointing at me and was like ZETTAI NIAIMASU YO! and like ran up behind me and put it on my head, so I had to buy it 'cause he was so pushy LOL. But it was ok 'cause they're kinda cute lol. And I got more stares lol. And one boy winked at me. D: Uhh... >_>; Lol, maybe I'll wear them to teach when it's closer to halloween, though. XD
We watched the fireflies in the park a few weeks ago. It was really moving~ very beautiful!! It was different here than seeing them at home. i dunno if it was the different trees in the forest, or what, but it was a different feeling.
What else have I been up to... lots of sales, so I'm gradually buying more clothes. I need work clothes really badly, though.
Well, I can't really think of anything else to write about. I'm just excited for a break, I'm always so busy @__ @; It's my own fault tho, 'cause I just can't stay home on the weekend. There's too much to do here.
